  • HIs form is actually pretty good. the bar could be lower on his back, as it won't be feasible to carry a 400-500lb bar that high on your neck. The bar should lie slightly lower than a wide stance power squat bar position

Aside from that it's a pretty good video

Now if all the internet experts would actually learn a thing or two about training before posting stupid comments

  • bruce lee admitted that when he injured his back he didnt warm up properly. he stated that he still believed it is a good movement to do. he stated that he used it for more mobility and lumbering than pure strength.

  • straight legs? arching the back in the wrong direction? terrible form

  • good night sweet back

  • ARCH YOUR BACK.... noob.

  • @baseballcach

    Thanks

  • @DaBhaalspawn - Dead lift is fine for your back when done properly. Also a weight belt can be added when doing a lot of weight. Proper form is the key though

  • Nice form... not...

Dont do this at home. This guys has absolutly no idea and he is going to hurt his back hard when he uses more weight.

  • Nice form... not...

  • @MrSe1fDestruct Is that true? The only thing I heard was a lack of a proper warmup, then doing weight training, heard it from that documentary.

  • I want to start weightlifting as I practice martial arts.

I have been looking for a good (but strong) training for the lower back, which is core in practically every movement you make in martial arts.

This and the deadlift look like the best, however, I'm concerned about that back injury thingy.

Is this really safe when performed correctly?

  • awful form, the bar is supposed to be on your back not your neck, try doing more weight than the bar with that on your neck. plus your back is bent
