Chinese Parasol Fan Dance at Moon Fest 09

Ishtar dancing a "Structured Choreography" created by Ishtar Bellydancer especially for the Chinese Moon Festival Oct 2009.

Ishtar Bellydancer has created something special for the Chinese Moon Festival. This Dance was the opening Dance for the Chinese Moon Festival. The Dance has some Oriental flavours to it including in costume & hair do to give Ishtars bellydance a little taste of Chinese in respect for the festival. The long veil is used to portray the ancient Chinese Court Dancers who wore long sleeved tunics and flowing long gowns that seem to drag accross the floor, which Ishtar being part Chinese wanted to portray . The veil is used over the parasol to convey that Chinese Dancer effect and also to give a kind of caravan travelling feel to the entrance. The little poses in the beginning have a slight oriental dance style to it, the rest of course is fan veils, again a very Chinese Prop and are made in China.
