France x USA [Ain't Nothing 'Bout You]

Where France and America fanboy over each other like craziness. ^^

France and the USA were major fans of each other after the American Revolution. We were bestest buddies with them, and I always pictured them as being fanboys of each other. Both of them were all fawny and worshippy of the other. And they make an adorable pair doing so. ^^

I learned about that in history class! We just finished the American Revolution, and I thought it was so funny how one of the reasons France helped America was because the French didn't like England. XD

The fanboy point is so cute, though! lol. Really nice job, especially with the song. Very American.

Oh, I always loved how France helped because they hated England. XD Then USA started having good relations with England after the Revolution, and the French got pissed. XD Cue Quasi War goodness!

Mutual fanboyism is interesting and awesome and very fun to dabble in. My personal headcanon for 19th century CzechiaxSlovakia is something like that. :D And I didn't know about that aspect of France/USA relations, so yay, I learned something new!

I found a book on British ambassadors to the US. It's hilarious because--besides normalizing trade/relations--the main job of the Brit ambassador was to interfere with the Franco-American alliance. Although the govt officially became neutral, America felt like they owed the French, so warehouses of weapons were sent to France and the French ambassador had to be expelled for enabling recruitment of bunches of volunteers for French conflicts. And the US rooted for Napoleon.
