This song is about Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Chitty (born 1947) who worked part-time selling tickets at the Railway Inn Folk Club in Brentwood, Essex, UK in 1964. She became the girlfriend and muse of Paul Simon when he lived in England in 1964 and 1965. She is referred to directly or indirectly in at least three of his songs. (Courtesy of wikipedia)

I loved this song from Simon & Garfunkel who once called themselves Tom & Jerry! I would play their Sounds of Silence album my Dad had all the time! Leaves that are Green and I am' a Rock are other favorites from that classic album from 1960s! Your cover of Kathy's Song is different, very Willie Nelson influenced but has a rich baritone quality that your vocals bring out, unlike Art Garfunkel's airy tenor vocals do! Great Cover!
