I have the retracts installed in the fuselage now and everything works great. I should be able to move onto the wings next week.

  • Excellent Engineering, well done. Can I ask how you synchronise the door servos with the retract servo?

  • Thanks. In the video I'm just using 2 switches on the transmitter to test. On the flying model, I'll have a custom made mixer to take the retract signal and open the doors first then extend the legs. I think some transmitters can do this, but I won't have enough channels, so I'll do it on the model.

  • Thats bad ass! How much did the landing gear cost you?

  • Thanks.

The front gear is just a Robart 602 nose gear and was about $25 from Tower Hobbies.

The rear gear has about $75 worth of parts and materials in it and took about a month to figure out and design, and about a 1.5 months to build and test.
