Not entirely true. while I don't recommend buying contacts and shoving them in ur eye without a second throught theres no reason to scare the crap out of everyone by saying they're going to blind you.
Its all down to the research - if your not sure ask someone with attual contacts - look online at what is recommended. If you buy online what have other customers said the products like? Are you buying from a reliable company?
And above all READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
