  • @0:24 They also have the contemporaneous writings of the founders. Although the words "wall of separation" don't appear in the U.S. Constitution, Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists makes it clear that the first amendment did indeed erect that "wall."

    @3:05 The "wall of separation" is not "an idea," it's not a "metaphor," it's not "contestable." It's a fact.

    If the "wall" had been honored from the beginning, the "bible riots" of 1944 and 1871 never would have taken place.
