Me almost getting knocked over by a high-speed Amtrak train deciding to use the local track, at Princeton Jct of all places (one of the highest-speed sections on the Northeast Corridor).

  • What's funny about this is that this pathetic thing isn't even 1/3rd of the speed of that TGV trainset. When is this country going to embrace true high-speed rail?

  • Ohhh! I should've known! I agree that they look unfamiliar. I rarely see them. Those AEM-7s are everywhere (in the Northeast that is!)

  • @rbjplay13 I knew that :P

What I meant was that I was unfamiliar with the specific locomotive used. I was used to AEM-7s.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 it's the NEC or Northeast Corridor from Washington DC to Boston. There, the locomotives receive power from overhead wires and don't run on diesel like the other Amtrak locomotives do. That's why they look different from other ones.

  • What route is that? I'm not familiar with a locomotive like that.

  • The Amtrak Trains passing at Hamilton are at top speed I think! They are so loud!
