Escobar was the antithesis of a brave man, he cowardly hid behind the affection of the under classes, whom he helped only to secure consensus and power. No amount of helping the poor is justification for the way he bribed governments and killed thousands in cold blood. It is utterly moronic to think his ulterior motives were to help anyone but himself.
