How to stop a squeaking shoe!!

my new retro 10 chicago jordans squeak only on the left shoe what should i do the insole is like glued on for the baby powder ? ppl say put vaseline under the shoe

@MRG27xD Only on left? Make sure squeaks on carpet so is not bottom of shoe. Make sure not under laces between tongue and shoe. Although insole is glued, it should pull out with effort. If not sorry. Extreme is cutting insole as seen in video. Good Luck!!

Help... I have jordans and they squeke really badly but i dont want to do any of these steps. i dont want to ruin them. any ideas?

No. Sorry, but must be in molded bottom. If not under insole, not under tongue, in between soles. Just make sure squeak is not in these simple places. You should be able to pull out insole with no harm to shoe, then put them on and see if squeak is still there. Good Luck!!

My shoes still squeak. It comes from the bottom of the heel on my right shoe.

@Exuvium97 @Exuvium97 I assume you removed insole and squeak was still there. If dress shoes with real heels, it could be where heel attaches to shoe. To avoid a shoe repair shop, you can put a screw or two from inside through heel. If hard material you will need to drill a pilot first. Caution...some materials will crack/split. At own risk!!! And if heel is too spongy the screw will just poke you in the heel when you walk. Then you may need to get glue in there someway.

So I find a pair of sneakers on sale..top brand name...they fit perfect..outstanding! Get them home , walk around and "squok,squik,creak,squik"...ev­erywhere! Did not matter if on carpet on vinyl or hardwood or cement "squok,squik,creak,squik". Say your "how-to" tried the easy method with cornstarch and paper towels...IT WORKED!! Dead quite! Perfect! Thank You
