success!! well done video

THANKS!!! Perfect instructions. I used a very small screw driver to remove the back cover instead of a plastic pry, worked fine. Didn't need an exacto knife at any point, either. One word of advice to others: go VERY slowly when removing the adhesive attached to the video cable from the foil. I pulled the sheathing away from the cable by pulling a little too hard, but apparently no harm no foul (other than a mild heart attack).

@DJIndy the knife is to prise away the screen unit from the laptop body as it is attached with strong double sided tape all around the perimeter. In the video it seems the guy has disassembled it before filming, to loosen up all the adhesive tape parts... not helpful.

I have and Hp Mini 110-3135dx, and I don't have screws. :( But do you know how to do this one, do I have to take the whole thing apart?
I bought a screen on ebay and it works great. But, even with the power off it still has a bright white screen. Any clue on why it is doing this?? Hopefully, this isn't the case of getting the wrong LCD screen!?!

@schultp I've seen this before. It is a wrong screen. I would return it and get the exact part # duplicate.

I did this but the screen never comes on. Very closely followed as well. Made sure it was the correct screen, etc. Any ideas what may have gone wrong?

@dillinjabreakz I would try it with the old screen again, see if the old screen comes on. If the old screen comes on, the new screen may be defective.
