  • Clergy is the first cut; not a song but audio of the crowd reaction to the scene of King Kong fighting the biplanes on the Empire State Building. I saw Airplane at the Fillmore East in 1970. Buddy Guy/Jr Wells opened and Hot Tuna followed (1st show w/ Papa John Creach). Airplane played an incredibly long set. Awesome show by all the bands!

  • Every time the airplane played at the fillmore east ( never saw them at the west) they would show a film clip before they took the stage, most of the times it would have something 2 do with an airplane or alice in wonderland,in this case it was the ending of king kong, one time they played a clip of abbott and costello doing 'who's on first?' I was whacked on a double dose of orange sunshine, totally blew my mind, straight it is a wild clip, on acid forget about it! Check it out.

  • @berylman

"Weird"? ...Not if you are aware of what it is and where it comes from!

Clergy is simply the conclusion of the original film King Kong, as the airplanes shoot King Kong off the Empire State Building.

  • Totally great drum intro by Spencer. So quick and ON.

  • 10 sec.

  • Hey, Love this track, so pleased to hear it again. Used to have this album, one of the best from one of the best bands ever.. thanx for the post! Enjoy the music, Px :))

  • @wdmounger Far and away the best rock bass player of all time! And there were some others that were amazing, but Jack was the best!

  • trippiest tune i have ever heard ... ( I have this with the newspaper cover on vinyl ) crazy !!!! 1968 :-)

  • R.I.P. Spencer Dryden...I was just starting my album junkie days ..oh, say about a half century ago..This album was one of my first.ones. I spun it a lot on my plastic drop down record player. The sound was pretty good for what it was...Capturing magic on a live LP is rare and this one is it....Enjoy! ~JBK

  • @kdonofrio22 I got personal pix of both '75 concerts up on my facebook webradio page: Surf City Sounds Plus....I wire with or less at Live365.com. They let me do it in the rubber room over here at the home...Life is good! Enjoy!
