Gary Lucas 20th Anniversary Show--w/ Alan Vega "Life Kills"

Celebrating 20 years of recording and performing with his band Gods and Monsters, guitarist extraordinaire Gary Lucas put together an evening length show booked by Live Nation at the sumptuous Gramercy Theater in NYC on 6/11/09 that spanned the length and breadth of his career. Here he performs a new song with his friend legendary Suicide vocalist Alan Vega entitled "Life Kills".
Classic Rock (UK) just cited Gary Lucas as one of the "100 Greatest Living Guitarists". Rolling Stone called Gary Lucas "one of the best and most original guitarists in America...and a songwriter of established invention", referring to his co-writing of "Jeff Buckley's signature songs 'Grace' and 'Mojo Pin'. His longtime NYC-based supergroup jamband Gods and Monsters have been called "an underground rock fan's dream team" by the New Yorker, and Time Out NY raved: "The group is mindblowing!".
