Strange 2 Way Communications Shortwave, Outside the amateur bands, possibly air traffic control but from where?

Only one person was audible the other was really weak.

Received on 5658 Khz SSB, in South Wales on an Eton E5 Radio at 22:52 UTC.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • @ZXROMEO still a distant reception at the least mate.

  • The language sound like chinese or korean.Ordinary people talking on the air...nothing special

  • @quellobuono1 Not at that frequency are people meant to be talking to eacher other Its not in the amateur bands and its not a local language either.

  • 5658 kHz is a Middle East and Central Asian air traffic control frequency. The language sounds pretty much like Chinese, so maybe it is Urumqi Aero.

  • @senderjaeger Thank you for that explanation mate :)

  • @remlap possibly Filipino, Malay, or heck, Mongolian even.

  • @remlap Yes, it's cool. Even though HF is kind of an antiquated form of communication, its still fun to mess around with
