this happens with most semi-automatic handguns, the barrel isn't crooked or bent. It drops down when there is no pressure from the slide.

Yeah the 40 does pack a punch I too was brutal didnt start gettin better till about 50 rounds later is it just me or is the front sight a lil higher than the rear.....if so is it to compensate for the kick?

Just wondering what the recoil would be like in the 40 s&w. I got a 9000s in 9mm and it shoots great.

It was actually pretty brutal. The 40 cal packed a real punch. Plus, the grip is short, so getting your picky around the bottom was a problem and it meant that you only had 3 finger widths to hang on to the pistol. For that reason muzzle rise was always a challenge. Grip extensions were available but effected the good looks (and print) of the pistol. It's still my favorite though!
