I asked why do some(not all) pagans adopt phony american indian sounding names. I would think it is a safe bet the the name on their driver's license is the name they were born with. I have noticed that the SUBSTATIAL pagan authors do not need to stoop to that level. The wannabes adopt a goofy name.

I am basing my question off of observation, not ignorance. I have noticed substantial authors Have names like Raymond Buckland, Dorthy Morrison, Scott Cunningham, Rev Don. I have met Dr. Buckland several times he lives near me in Ohio. I have observed the wannabes cook up some sort of Indiginous American tribes person sounding name that they were not born with. I really don't know if The Rev has written a book, but I will listen to him because he is not going with some goofy moniker.

The name represents their totem animal, either for their coven or for themselves, or can use any coorespondence that represents them in a spiritual view.
Please try to understand somthing before giving out an oppinion based off of ignorance.
