http://zachallengolf.com/ Top 25 Golf Instructor. Getting the proper view of how to get the ball in the air can be confusing. This video will show you the proper view of impact, along with a drill to practice.

  • dont' do this..imo for amateurs, you would probably learn a bad habit by thrusting your hips forward causing a sliced shot.

  • Don"t do that let the club go on your living room carpet

  • good drill

  • @cardsfanok5 Agreed!

  • wtf?

  • Zach,

When I try throwing the club into the ground it is going into the ground 6-8 inches behind my right foot (I'm right handed) - No where near the ball position! When I tried to move the entry point of the club to the ball position the club missed the ground completely and went flying into my back yard fence.

    What is your advice?

  • i'll bet your Cleveland 8 iron is ready to be replaced. Agreed the hands need to be in front of the ball at impact, but if they get too far it can and will lead to shanks.

  • nice lesson , but folks be aware of taking a divot before the ball and completely duffing the shot.

  • greenskeeper is coming out to chase you at 1:56

  • Good explanation. You make it look so simple.
