Took the family for a camping/hiking trip to Steamboat Rock State park earlier this week. It was nice to experience some dry weather and occasional sunshine. We woke on Tuesday to gorgeous blue skies- what a change! As always the wind occasionally blew like mad but it was worth it. I've stayed at many of the WA ST parks over the past thirty years and, in my opinion, this one ranks right up there with the best for its scenery, trails, and neat little quite nooks to chill out.
I posted a video of our hike to the top of the rock. A few wildflowers were out. I saw a lot of fresh sprouts so the wildflowers should be amazing in a couple of weeks.
