B16A Civic Racing Second Gen RX-7 with a Race Port

Im in the civic, my buddy is racing me, towards the end of the vid he let's off early cause he thought we had passed the camera guy, but i still had a good lead on him. That Rex was a helluva fun car to ride in. Though my civic was faster till my speed limiter kicked in, his car was alot more fun :).

is that a turbo with a race port.. if so he should not be losing to u at all.. this is kinda fishy..

nope, we were both NA. He had a killer top end, but in the 1/4 I was faster, he would pass me around 120

Well, thats what I remember him calling it. Im not an rx-7 guy, just repeating what I was told. To be honest, I don't think he'd really had it tuned after the port job, at least not when we shot this vid. I know he had it tuned eventually (but by then, i had moved)

errrrrrr.... milder like a streetport??? If his car had a bridgeport and lost to you, it would be from a blown engine (the problem with bridgeports :-\) If he had a peripheralport it would be from bad tuning. I don't think that a 300hp fc (about what you could make off a pport) or a 250hp fc (about what a bridgeport makes) would still be in the 14's... I only make about 150rwhp as I'm still on a stock computer.

I don't think rx7's would have the name they do if a "raceport" one only ran 14's...

er... my 86 n/a 13b with a streetport (pineapple racing) took a s2k with intake/exhaust/differential/cl­utch/r-compound tires. (he passed me 1/4 mile down the road when I was going about 130.

14.3 is still slower than a STOCK s2k....
