2011 UPDATE: Maurice Sendak has released a new book entitled Bumble-Ardy - get it now at your favorite book store (support your local one if you want it to survive)!
Political correctness for all in this, a true animated classic from Sesame Street. Looks like Maurice Sendak (and references to a book "Bumble Ardy" are on the net). Hmmmn...Bumble's voice sounds awfully familiar. Cheers!

Another classic from old school Sesame Street. I believe this is Maurice Sendak's only SS entry. And yes, as many have already mentioned, this would NEVER pass muster in today's PC laden Sesame Street. Consumption of liquor? Horrors!!

This is like a college frat party! It's cool to see lost classics like this on here. I remember seeing it as a kid and hasn't been on Sesame Street in forever (and of course they'd NEVER show it now!) This was also included as a hidden "Easter egg" on one of the Sesame Street Old School DVDs. Whenever I hear the song "Party With The Animals" by Ozzy I always think of this. Try watching this with the sound off and that song playing. It actually works pretty well!

I remember this somewhat well. I too was somewhat scared by it, but not to an overwhelming extent. One thing to note: Is the narrator here the same one on the '1-20 Number Elimination' clip from Sesame Street? Just wondering. Also, I see that there have been 99 text comments posted to this clip before mine, which is in keeping with the theme of the clip, and which isn't bad!:)

I can't say for sure if it's the same narrator but sure sounds like him, good ears!

A boy of nine offering wine to nine swine? I'm sure the censors today would whine: "Depicting wine is out of line, we'll have to impose a hefty fine!"
