Sb. Coast Starlights with private coaches on the rear: (1) #11(22/23) through north Atascadero CA at 1:50 PM; (2a, b): #11(23/24) arrives in Paso Robles CA at 1:32 PM and leaves right on time at 1:38.
Other PV cars (on Sunday's #11): The "Tioga Pass" (blue car) is an old Canadian National Railways business car built in 1959 for CN executives and sold to a private owner in 1993.
The stainless-steel car is the B&M "Salisbury Beach" and was originally used on the Boston & Maine RR on their overnight express "State of Maine" in the 1950's; later bought by CN and then privately owned after 1989. It is a sleeper-pullman.
I know a railfan/YouTuber that rode the "Tioga Pass" on this train (I'm big-time jealous, LoL!!)... will let him talk about it himself when he returns!!
The "Patron Tequila Express" is a very exclusive private car, co-owned by Dan Aykroyd and John-Paul DeJoria, owner of Patron Spirits Company (famous for their tequilas). The car was built in 1927 and originally owned by the Gulf, Mobile, & Ohio Railroad and was simply known as "Car No. 50". Some very famous people have ridden this car, including Franklin D. Roosevelt and Clark Gable.
I road on the private cars of this train from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. If you start the vid off at 1:20 that is the train I road.
