This man is a living legend, the last living entertainer of a wonderful era in our country that helped make America uniquely American. Give him a lot of love and respect. The truth is most likely neither you or I will ever touch his bootstraps in historical significance. I for one would prize an autograph from this icon. Some of these comments represent the mindless shame with which we treat our elders...as if our contributions had an expiration date on them.
