  • A very enjoyable overture in Sullivan's style. Hope for more postings of the opera. Scott Farrell is very talented composer.

  • really, it has more of a Cellier or Fred Clay feel over Sullivan.

  • If you think that the winds come off "bettre" [sic] than the strings then you may not have considered how piss poor the string writing is.

  • absolutely fantastic! Scott Farrell is definately talented.

  • The sound is similar to the Prince Consort recording of The Emerald Isle partly written and orchestrated by Edward German. Also the melodic phrasing does remind me of Alfred Cellier's overture to The Spectre Knight, on the Gilbert And Sullivan Archive site.

  • You think so? I would have said it was closer to Edward German

  • Winds come off bettre than the strings. Dont sound together in several sections. Has lots of catchy themes. Scott Farrel needs more exposure like this!!!
