its solvable actually though you cant live quite such pigs in shit anymore. get solar stuff like solar showers? solar n windup lights/radios? i got a small wind turbine...theres also those solar panels. each household sorts it out for themselves. and this economic collpase might be very very bad. my advice is to get ready for a more nomadic lifestyle. buy tents etc ....now. i have. i have got all ready in less than 3 months for a minimal outlay. it can be done.

it is called scalable solar. You buy what you can afford & scale up as you can afford it. I have solar battery charger capability for everything from AAA to D. I have a lot of stuff I can run on them, including fans etc. I have another solar charger to keep a car battery up which then can be used to run anything I want, although right now it has to be something that doesn't take too much electricity like a laptop or small appliance. You are right not to rely on govt or the grid

I think that all we have to do is push through legislation the, "every workspace must have a private floor area where employees can lay down and stretch anytime they need to rest without worrying about their bosses getting angry" This one little change in the workplace will allow for people to not mind working in a traditional job and still maintain the luxurious of modern life.

Okay, ASAP Get the largest containers you can. make sure you have a lid. If you have tap fill those up, if you're preparing. If you need to pruify water, get three sticks and make a tripode out of it. tie three layers of cloth. Put a container underneath and pour the water through the top layer of cloth. This will filter it. You can also make a fire and boil it.Try growing your own foods. Go to the mountains and try to get some deer or other animals.Always have a gun!(For protection and hunting)

Just ask the Amish how they live without electricity. You could even build your own biomass gasifier from junkyard parts and fuel it with yardwaste, old car tires, animal dung and trash. These forms of fuel would be essentially free.  Just a thought.

@pura0123vida1 youré quiet right we have the same problem here in parts of nz, water is foul, well in my time we had no power, my dad had to cut wood for the old fire to heat the water, we lived the best days of our life, today we can survive, why? because we didn't have all the luxury's then...
