Suspicion is a series which ran on NBC from 1957 to 1958. Four O'Clock, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, was the premier episode.

In Four O'Clock, a watchmaker becomes insanely jealous when he suspects that his wife is having an affair. Fearing that she will leave him, he builds a time delay bomb and devises a plan to blow up his wife and her suspected lover.

While he is executing his plan however, he is interrupted by two burglars who tie him up in the basement, leaving him to die along with his intended victims at exactly four o'clock.

E.G. Marshall and Nancy Kelly co-star in this movie.

  • Great movie. Hitchcockian suspense in its most spine-tingling form with a great twist in the tail!

  • @abasu50 Thank you!

  • This was GREAT, I LOVE Alfred Hitchcok

    anyway ! 5*

  • Thank you. This was a pretty good thriller. I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate the rating.

  • at the end of this episode i got confused, dont understand why he is in a strait jacket? was he imagining that the bomb would go off, cause she mentioned about the fuse blew out. lol

  • Hi Lucy. The explosion was intended for someone else but he got trapped in the basement with the ticking bomb by the hoodlums who broke in. After coming so close to dying unintentionally, I think the cheese slid off his cracker :)

  • I wanted to see those punks get blown up.... I never knew this series existed! And, I'm so grateful to the Hitchock fanatic who posted this epsode. Well worth the watch. Where can I find more? I missed the opening credits. It seems this series existed at the same time as A.H. Presents. Why didn't this series last, while A. H. continued into the early 60's?

  • what suspence!!! Tick tick tick---I thought that would never blow!....which of course it didn't. The whole episode was very entrancing. Hitchcock makes it so you actually want to finish the story. "I blew a fuse this morning"--- that was great irony. ---Bit extreme to blow up your wife and her lover. He deserved what he got.

  • awesome!
