I think the title of this track speaks for itself "Strains of Insanity" I mean I would seriously go insane if I heard this while walking through Magus' Castle as well. My first playthrough of Chrono Trigger I heard this and a cold chill went down my spine (No Joke). Just goes to show you that when you put this kind of music in a non-horror game it spooks you even more then it would in a horror game.

  • You know what's even scarier about this music? The fact that, unlike literally EVERY OTHER LOCATION in the game, when you enter a normal battle, this music CONTINUES PLAYING. No switch, no pause, no nothing. And as creepy as this is, the sound effects of Chrono's/Frog's swords slashing and other spells going off increase the creepiness factor by 10 fold (to say nothing of certain early battles where *spoilers* you're putting "enemies" out of their missery */spoilers*).

  • Chrono Trigger scares me! <=(

  • also disturbingly epic is just about everything from Chrono Cross

  • Ha ha hahahahaha.....

  • this needs to be in the backround of demons souls

  • request for next scary one: ghost house in new super mario bros wii

  • Imagine this song playing in the Confusion Gate in "La Mulana" The Confusion Gate is creepy enough with the green faces mocking you as you struggle to get through the area and the whole virgin sacrifice thing that keeps giving the boss more health. Put this song in there and boy you got yourself a whole new level of creepiness in there.

  • Request for the next "scary" one! the Face shrine.. o.o

  • The SNES/PS1 version is better. The bass rhythm is to fast in this version and doesn't go with the rest of the sounds like the SNES version does.
