@fatben5 sorry to hear that m8 my grandad fought in ww1 in the black watch then in the black and tans in irland then the royal navy in ww2 never new him died of cancer in the 70s

@Kilooscarromeo if he had to listen to monty the war would have been over sooner but dumb yanks chose to advance on a broad front rather than montys plan for a stong blitzkrieg style attack at the week points witch the germans ending up useing at the bulge and would have succeded if not for allied air power

@Kilooscarromeo 101st AirBourne which were hanging on by their finger nails.in doing that, that key area was in Allied hands & didn't fall into the Germans. BUT IKE HELD HIM UP BEFORE THAT & HE HAD THE GERMANS AT THE BORDER OF FRANCE & GERMANY(STANDING GERMANS WHICH HE COULD OF ANNIHILATED) BECAUSE OF THE WAIT THEY SLIPPED INTO GERMANY ALLOWING THEM TO REORAGNIZE & THERE YOU HAVE THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE.That would have definately ended the war sooner saving a lot of American lives FACT.

Ike was an asshole to Patton That bastard held back Patton 4 times so that Monty the fool could get there INSANE that surely cost American lives God send to the Germans all Patton could do is shake his head saying "this is wrong" totally against everything he belived in how to fight a war FACT Thank God for Patton an incredible warrior.
