This was from a time when cartoons had actual meaningful content. As cheesy as it seems now, stuff like this and G.I. Joe taught life lessons. The struggle we all face to do right, or put the needs of others before our selfish whims. Now cartoons are just filled with silliness.

God this brings back memories... for example: I had THE worst Transformer toys as a kid. Instead of Optimus Prime, I got the green guy who runs up at 2:00 and transformed into a flying saucer. I also had Beachcomber the hippy Jeep and Sea Spray, the boring boat. You don't remember them? That's because nobody does.
