Pollack and rothko shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. Pollack was a genius, rothko a cheap hack

at 2:13 you can see figures done with the splatters, like dancing (ballet) and others, it's really interesting

Many of you think this isn't art, but mathematicians have proved that lines and shapes in his paintings have fractal patterns which occur in nature. In fact, the patterns become very complicated so you really need talent to do it. And his paintings depict trees, bushes, but it's hard to notice if you don't concentrate.

"like a ballet"? "dense like a dream"? I realize that Duchampian ideals of art require the spectator to participate, inferring things- but really should have gotten someone with a little bit more depth of analysis. The painting has great potential- but viewed through this reporter it really is utter pretentious trash.

i feel its kinda ridiculous how they interpret the painting. violent like a boxing match and yet lyrical like a ballet? just shows anyone can interpret it in anyway they like. dont think there really is an intention in spilling paint all over the place
