  • for what version is this instruments package?

  • Studio Instruments is a standalone product. It can also be used as a plug-in for most DAWs (Mac or PC)

  • will this work for sonar7 home studio edition? thanks for the info!

  • Yes, In SONAR, on the main menu go to INSERT > SOFTSYNTHS . STUDIO INSTRUMENTS > SI Strings.

  • Hi, Robin Kelly!

  • You would think that Cakewalk would normalize the volume of their video a bit better - his voice starts off about right, then gradually gets quieter and quieter, then suddenly twice as loud at the end. Sheesh...

  • ok cartoon gui but string samps are nice for todays productions maybe more nuances and human touches would be nice

  • sounds fake, buzzy, phony...like a 50 dollar keyboard...

  • Now dimension pro (full strings) thats a flac sample of a real orchestral string.. or is it from this plugin? Thanks... Reason I ask is I bought Dimension pro for the full strings cause they sound great, but the attack time on them is too long.. plus the higher notes begin to sound cheesy

  • en donde puedo descargar el plugins

  • Horrible

  • @JSSJR90 They are. Personally, I use them for the "orchestra" effect; and put 2 or 3 EWQL Solo violins on top; mix to taste. It helps trick it into sounding better. Also, a real violin ontop of everything couldn't hurt either.

  • hmm after listing to the strings in the video...sounds like shit.

  • eversince i opened this in live 8, it now does not open at all, iget an error softsynth not properlly installed, help!

  • @11secure Like I said, generating sound isn't a main thing. You also need filtering. Reverb, delay, decay, echo, attack, etc. Digital audio data stores sample codec that pre-cal what level of sound it should be producing next.

Have you ever wondered about the audio file's codec and bit-rate? The lower they are the harsh sound they produce. And when you hit 8kbps, it sounds like: 8 bit samples. 4 kbps? Pure sample wave sounds. The sine, triangle, square and clip.

  • @binbashLinuxAhole however, i admit that it might be hard to reach it, but it still does not sound realistic. you cant "generate" an instrument, its much more complex as a program can ever make it. for me, a real violin player it's just a shame, dont take these critics personally, im regarding your work!
