  • Robh Hoy was also the voice if not the acyor in bthe robot in Lost in Space

  • The Robot was Bob May, not Bob Hoy. Bob Hoy is a stuntman & actor and has appeared in over 100 movies and TV shows, with greats such as Clint Eastwood, Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Gene Hackman, Lee Marvin. He had a featured role in the High Chaparral as Joe Butler (playing Don Collier's brother).

  • anyone remember the episode with the song in it called the ballad of johnny Rondo I think it was Steve Forrest who guest starred Was the song ever released?

  • Music for The Guns of Johnny Rondo was by Harry Sukman, lyrics by Joe Lubin. Don't think it was every released, but there is an album that appears on Ebay with music from High Chaparral and Bonanza and also a songbook which may have it. Joe also wrote the lyrics for the High Chaparral theme song (which were never sung).

  • so cool, i`m named after Manolito

  • According to Lamparski's "Whatever happened to" books, Linda Cristal was one of those actors who saved every penny she ever made acting (like Van Williams). Later she invested in some risky South American stocks and became really wealthy.

  • @stusidey it was sung by faron young i think and i think william sylvester was johnny rondo. C.J.P.

  • The song was used in a 60's episode of Bonanza, long before it ever became the theme for "High Chaparral"

  • one of the best western series ever made !

  • Loved this show as a child. Filmed right here in Tucson.

  • Don Collier was also in a ton of Bonanza episodes.

  • How come Slade blows off reunions?

  • Happy Birthday Rudy! Hope this is the best one yet!
