I Think ALL hate-mongering, mysoginist, racist, women-demeaning commentary should be off the air until there is equal time allotted to respond to those comments. I don't care if Imus was Dem or Rush is Repugnican, I think the equal time requirement for broadcast programs should be returned. No matter what side they are on, that cuts down on the dialogue that is necessary for democracy to function.

Don Imus was never a Republican, much less a conservative. At the very least, he was a moderate Democrat.

I agree with Paul Waldman re: Imus, who, in my opinion, shouldn't be back on the air... but, then, I don't think Rush should be allowed to sell his hate-mongering either. GAWD! What we really need is reasoned, logical dialogue about reality and not more of the hate-mongering, shock radio.
