Yeah... elementary rule of geometry... You can't overlay "non-similar" triangles. ALL THREE triangles are not "similar" triangles.

yeah, i saw that in another video. this one does a very poor job of explaining it though. because they show the two sets of shapes as being identicle. but in order for the hole to appear the two smaller triangles can't have a perfect slope

the two triangles are not the same and the top needed to be shaved off.. and those shavings would fill the extra hole.
