you are slow.
i charge 95 dollars an hour and i would have only charged about 250 topps.
and i use good quality Hunter parts.

lots of times its stupid mistakes.
ive plugged in many timers for 95 dollars lol
some people are not mechanically inclined.
generally the do it your selfers' sprinkler systems do not work out well.

in SoCal its actually pretty expensive also but i started my own company about 5 years ago and we manage to get lots of customers by charging the customer by what we do not by the time we are there. It basically comes out to about $95/hr or so but since we show the customer results they are very happy to pay that amount.

LoL ... he wasn't kidding ... it's about $899 here in Colorado Springs, and that's only for two zones and the plumbing is already in place ... much cheaper to do it your self and more satisfying as well

My sprinkler is such a queer contraption, everytime I launch over it I get splashed in the balls with H2O. My nieghbor thinks its funny but Im about ready to repair it before I cant have children anymore, oh.. bubble trumps

At an hourly rate of $95 per hour (standard) what do you think the cost would be after a 300% mark up on parts after 8 hours? It costs me $125 to set my computer on the service desk of the PC repair store.
If you make less, you are getting paid what you are worth. I can do in an hour what it takes most guys 3 hours. It is ALL about results and happy customers.
