it is a bit easier with that e collar. Still a great job...but def not entirely safe without that...i walk my guy off the leash as well..but since i do not have that collar i only do it after he has been exercised or at night when it is a little more relaxed outside...i live in manhattan nyc

You are right we used it as a back up during his rehab. This dog had a problem with running off . Living in chicago can be a dangerous place to do that! We started off with the leash, e-collar and now he can walk with out any device. He is free to do what ever he wants even chase squirrels ON MY TERMS! The only time i use the e collar now is the "recalls" in the forest preserve where i allow him to disapear for 15 -20 minutes, I would encourage you to get one. Wish you the best! go to my site.

Well you always always start with a leash show your dog specifically where you what him to be on a walk. You have to be annul though!.
