  • Videographer sucked...

  • @1pottercounty My dad isn't a professional videographer, so sorry about that you butthole

  • I almost pee'd my pants laughing too hard! Whatever happened to pre-flight checks? LOL! Thinks for making me laugh!

  • @Patriot042 Ha Ha I did pre flight checks.... It was safety wired also. It sheared off 4 aircraft grade bolts.

  • @beaupoc OH MY GOSH!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? WOW! I'm VERY Glad that you're alright, Bud! I'm just glad I'm not watching you go to your doom in this video! It's always easier to laugh at things AFTER someone walks away from a close call! I say, FIX that sucker and fly 'er again! :-D

  • @Patriot042 The funny thing is that I didn't even realize the prop flew off. That little engine wound out so much it started missing and sounded like it was idling. So my first thoughts were that the throttle cable broke or something and it was idling ha ha

  • Down-voted because of the title it's called crash landing which is the one part you don't see nice boots though...

  • @MrAviator81 An ultralight is just as safe as the builder & pilot allows it to be. Most ultralights are built way beyond safety specs & high quality standards. In the end, just like in your R22, as in a C-150, ultralight, sport aircraft, 747, and F-18, the pilot is where the buck stops. It is the pilot who assures his aircraft is safe to go flying in. He/she is the final authority.

  • Stupid camera man, what a wuss.

How cool. You posted a video you failed to get.

  • what was the damage to the aircraft? was the pilot able to land safely without the prop?

  • Those things are death traps! Why do people even bother with them is beyond me! If you want to have fun fly an R22. Yes it is another death trap, but the rotor will stay on:)

  • Yep prop sure did fly off....but the good news is the cameraman still has both his shoes!

  • @beaupoc

G'day... Well, the best way to shear Prop-bolts is to overtorque them, due to enthusiasm & no metered wrench or idea of the correct tension... 2nd best way is an outa balance prop. Either carved from a single Beam

( the blade made from the bottom end of the tree'll be denser, & heavier wood, thus laminae alternate heavy ends, pre-glueing, when done properly)... Or, unbalanced Blade-repairs..Or Prop. stored Blades-vertical. Water sinks !

  • Great camera work, buddy!
