This video is kinda cheezie-funny, where I sound like a goof with a rhym and my male red factor sun conure Pyro about gets his treat stolen from Sunkiss my spoiled rotten female sun.
In the serious bird training world (HA), the concept here is important if you see a behavior your bird is doing that you like - whether you think it is funny, sweet, cool, cute etc. this method may help you and your bird develope the behavior into a trick or something that your bird can do when you want him to. Impress your friends and have fun. This is simply the 'bob head' and Pyro really enjoys doing it.
Pyro is soon to be a Daddy bird check him out at http://aubriesanimals.blogspot.com/

  • I spy a flag (yellow,blue and red).Are you COLOMBIA?

  • @rainbow12495 No I'm not Colombian, we plan on going to Colombia in January of 2011, and then moving there sometime in the future. I'm from Ohio, living in Georgia now. My husband is a Spanish preacher, fluent in Spanish, though he's a blue eyed blond gringo :) are you Hispanic? our church is ibelfaro if you search it on youtube

  • i want may suns to eat seeds butt they dnt, what should i do?

  • I'm guessing that they eat pellets? Which is great if they are on a good pellet diet (my suns eat Roudy Bush small pellets) which is a lot better than a seed diet. I only feed seeds once in a while for treats while training and special occasions. If you are wanting your birds to eat seeds for training purposes I would offer something else as a reward that they enjoy eating, like pieces of apple, grape, banana, or nuts. If my birds see me drinking juice they will do tricks for a sip out of my cup

  • You say one's a male and the other is a female. Is there a way to tell male from female, other than that one lays eggs and the other doesn't?

  • i actually have a cockatiel and I'm very sorry for your loss

  • That bird's a spy.

  • No, if u want 2 see a bobbing head, u should come over 2 my house and see my parakeets. They r so weird!! First they move their head in a lot of directions very fast. Then all the sudden they just stop moving everything and all u see is their head bob up and down. But not this fast! They only bob it like 3 or 4 times and its really pretty slow. And while they bob they make a weird sound, kinda like this: wha wha wha. it always craks me up. XD

  • @rainbow12495 me too

  • @aubriesanimals my cockatiel died because she was on a pellet died. she hated it, and finally, she wouldn't eat anything, even if it was in seed form.

  • @aubriesanimals Yeah actually, I'm COLOMBIA so thats why I got so excited

  • I so freakin want one of those.. :/ lost my budgie to a heart attack a few months ago :(
