United We Serve: IVLP Volunteerism Project

Inspired by President Obama's call for renewed commitment to public service, the U.S. Department of State created a new international exchange program "Volunteerism: United We Serve." Created under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), this program brought 103 outstanding individuals from 95 countries to the U.S. to experience American volunteerism. During their stay, the visitors participated in service activities around Washington, D.C. This video highlights a group of the international visitors who joined students from The George Washington University to clean up a local park.
