@virtualoberheim - Wow - thanks! I just listened to the real thing - you're right, it IS wonderful! Too much sine wave LFO on this YouTube version, though ;-) It's amazing just how close the OP-X gets to all these original sounds - even ones that weren't done with anything even close to an Oberheim. I'm wondering if one could do with only 2 synths and be set for life - the OP-X and something digital like the PPG or OSCar emulations? There's so much sonic ground covered between the two!

@sauermusicDE it would..."be"...

@sauermusicDE No, OP-X PRO-II doesn't run in the V-Machine since it has not enough CPU power for it. What runs in V-Machine is the VM Bundle (including the lighter OP-X standard) which has some of these presets, but not all; check the VM Bundle videos

Is this also possible with the SM Pro Audio V-Machine? If yes, it would a cheaper alternative to get all these wonderful and famous sounds.
Do all these sounds come as pre-sets or do you have to tweek stock sounds to come up with these sounds? These samples sound amazing! Great work!

@framshow These are all stock presets available in the famous bank, nothing changed :-)

What is the song from 14:41 to 15:40?

@timandmonica That's Pink Floyd's "Signs Of Life" instrumental opener on the album "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" - a really wonderful track :-)

I always thought that Queen solo was a guitar, but that sounds spot on.

@Solarlite On the record the solo was played with a synthesizer, a Jupiter-8, by Fred Mandel; in live shows however the solo was played on the guitar by Brian May; that's where the confusion comes from :-)
