How about it's Chinese and it doesn't matter if it's from mainland China or Taiwan? xP btw I'm Chinese (not saying from China or Taiwan), so I am NOT being racist in any way.

pinyin, is the way of pronunciation... characters are the written language.. each character is pronounced, but to make it simpler to learn there is the pinyin... ( but enforce the alphabet and compound vowel sounds to learn is very imporatant) i love this song they are an amazing group... i love when they collaborate with farenheight:)

Oke.. so I am dutch.. I don't have anything to do with china and I don't know anything about the chinese language, yet I totally feel and love this song. The way she sings it is so beautiful. It's just so beautiful. I can even sing the lyrics right (at least I think...). This song makes me want learn how to speak chinese (pinyin, I guess? Or does that only count for written language?).

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've found alot of great Asian music in the past year, mostly Korean, but also Japanese and Chinese. I really like Jolin Tsai and Elva Hsiao!

BoA Kwan. She is a fantastic singer and sings all sorts of songs. She even did 'Every Heart' from the ending song of Inuyasha. Her newest song, is actually Hurricane Venus. But look into her earlier work like Atlantis Princess. Please enjoy :)

Umm, do the Chinese mostly sing ballads/lovesongs? Could someone help me find some female Chinese singer/band who makes music with some speed to it, like music you can dance to? Any ideas?

@minervali
S.H.E actually has quite a few dance/techno-ish songs like Miss Universe, Long Live Adorableness and rock/upbeat songs like Super Star, SHERO
I'm not too familiar with female artists but I think Elva Hsiao and Sammi Cheng (Hong Kong) have dancy music
