Dr. Hurwitz Failed Gallaudet

This 12-minute long vlog is my response to Hurwitz and his administration's performance in the last 12 months. Despicable. He failed us and he has to clean it up. We will keep an eye on his performance. This is disgrace!

Hi Ridor:

I "listened" to your version of Dr. Hurwitz's vision for Gallaudet. Interesting. This is to remind you that hearing university presidents do have a title for their wives. "First lady" of college president. I teach at a major hearing university and

the president of my college introduces his wife as their college's "first lady".

@InsaneMisha google "first lady university" Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Also, not necessarily a student...there are homeless people in the area who walk around that part of campus. And if you know the area near Gallaudet, you might know that not everyone feels safe there alone at night--students too.

Some of your facts are not correct here.

"First Lady" is used at other universities. It's a term of honor and also denotes a place in history. I think they do recognize Gally's place in history. (Will First Husband be a term of honor? We don't know yet!)

The new house is not honors housing (and it didn't replace GIS--different house). It's the beginning of new housing to bring students together with pres/admin area, not separate. And give better housing to students to help with retention.

@deafwatcher Again, I was merely sharing WHAT I was being told by people that talked across the campus. This has nothing to do with conspiracy theory -- the Hurwitz administration is composed entirely of WHITE, MEN & JEWISH -- that is the common ingredient that is being PASSED around at Gallaudet. Call it all you want ... Dr. Hurwitz has ultimately failed the community with its diversity obligations.  That's it. Nothing conspiracy theory there.

I say to you ... GET OVER WITH IT!

@ridor9th I would not use "Catholic" or "Muslim" unless we have a conspiracy theory such as protecting priests or preparing suicide bomb. Mentioning Jews sounds like as if they are controlling Gallaudet University. Is that your conspiracy theory??

Mentioning "white and men" is sufficient but mentioning "Jews" sounds like as if Jews control the world. You understand why i felt that your comment was clearly anti-semitic. You need to be very careful what you said. Calling me stupid reflects a cheap character of yourself.

@deafwatcher It is a fact. Who am I to omit the fact that people are TALKING about it? They said that they are all WHITE, MEN & JEWISH. It happened that the majority of intelligent people are Jewish and I applaud them for that. It indicates that they emphasize great on education. The bottom line is that the administration is not diverse as promised to the Gallaudet community. Accusing me of anti-semitism when your profile remain faceless simply tells me how stupid and coward you are.

Ok You dodged my question. I specifically asked you why you labeled them "Jews". What is your reason for using the word "Jews"? Secondly calling me a stupid prick is not necessary. I simply misspelled. OK?
