i forgot all about this show but watching the pilot i finally remembered it its really ironic that the message in these shows still holds today to bad kids will or won't get this message

I don't get it.. I personally think Good Times was just as real as South Central but they kept Good times on the air for a long time so why not this show??

This part of the episode is pivotal. It' is ALWAYS important for a woman to have a girlfriend that she can rely on or somewhere to go where they can vent their frustrations. IDK what it was like growing up in South Central back in the early 90's, but I can only imagine what Joan went through on this show. The hurt and tears were so honest. This show moves you to where you BELIEVE what is happening, especially if it something you yourself has experienced. thanks BROWNsuga!!!
