Shooting starts at 2:00! I shot some tracer bullets toward the camera. .223. I wish I had more tracers. You might notice a few tracers hit the dirt in front of the camera and ricochet up. From my view, almost every bullet ricocheted into the air. Not seen by the camera. We should all probably keep this in mind when shooting. I'm guessing ricochets happen most on the time. We just can't see them. Another time, I was shooting a friends suppressed 45 acp rifle with sub sonic rounds and I could here almost every bullet ricochet and go buzzing through the air.

  • The tracer material is actually in the back of the bullet, in a cup, or hole in the base of the bullet. I have heard that it is the tracer material and not the bullet we see ricocheting in the air. But after watching so many, this doesn't seem right. The ricochet maintains speed for such a distance, I don't see how the little tracer material would have the inertia to do that. It must be the hole bullet.

  • what happened with the 3rd "shot"? at 2:04, theres a light and then nothing then the report. no ballistic crack

  • @joshdrobny That shot hit the ground not too far from me. You can see the bullet bounce up a little and then back down. There was no "crack" because the bullet did not pass the camera. The scope had regular cross hair reticle that is hard to see in the dark. So my aim was not very good.

  • nice video, r those NATO rounds in the 5.56, thats the same as a .223 right?now i know what the taliban face daily, picture a little taliban cunt trying to dodge them...haah

  • @88weedsmoker They were American Eagle .556. They have the NATO cross on the case head stamp.

  • i would have been scared out of my mind cuz its dark as fuck

  • @giorodriguez1265 But I had a gun! :o)

  • They were not sub-sonic. That is the crack you hear. Even before the muzzle blast is heard.

  • @GunsmokeNC i've recovered ricochets and it's the entire bullet still intact

  • alot of the time with tracers when you see the tracer fly in the air its not the bullet richoceting its the tip of the bullet which has the tracing material on it just fragmenting

  • @GunsmokeNC thats what i thought happened, i was thinking about doing this with my 308 but thats the only reason i didnt. worried about hitting my camera lol
