Rather than look specifically at SC2 today, we're going to review the idea of eliminating assumptions. Assumptions are some of the most powerful obstacles to problem solving, polluting the thinking process without even being apparent. By reviewing some examples and creating a structure of self-examination, hopefully we can weed out those pesky assumptions from poisoning our quest to be awesome! :D

The idea is amazing, but if MC and other P keep using it, people will try to find a way to fake it, and once you cancel, bam! 4 gate incoming.

Funny thing, the answer I came up with when I first heard this one was the same as the one Day9 gave, but one I watch this, I somehow came up with a not as good answer.

@tripelon Use his example on pre-patch 4gates. The system isn't flawed players have to find a work around. He says it outright if there is a perfect solution, use it; i.e) pick metaknight.
