On Thin Ice: Polar Bears and Global Warming

I would just like to say I agree with this entirely and that's the best comment I've ever seen on youtube or on the entire internet.

I love how they're talking about how all the polar bears are dying and the government needs to "save them", yet the polar bear population in the 1950's was around 700-800 and now it's at 20-25,000.

Also, ummm... "unable to hunt in the open water"? Where the hell do you think they get their food, wait for a dead rabbit to fall from the sky? They hunt in the open water all day, every day. It's what they do. Do your research before you insist on "polluting the earth" with your ignorance.

Did you know that the CO2 concentration was once 7000 ppm? Thats more than 18 times today's concentration, and the earth did not plummet into a catastrophic greenhouse effect.

what a joke. its not melting. yes it draws back during summer months but comes back during the winter. the earth is cooling down because the sun is going through a cooling period and if the sun spot activity does not increase with in the next few years we could very well go into another mini ice age. man made global warming is a hoax. al gore and his buffoons want you to pay a carbon tax to save the earth.. co2 is a life giing gas

freepatriot1776: (nomen est omen) Look at the data. Sun has very little to no influence on the troposphere. Look at the graphs from 1970 to today. Sun activity has decreased while temperature is rising. The "cooling" we can see in the past 5 years is not relevant. less than 30 years of data are meaningless on global scale. To claim that one colder year makes the climate change is cherry-picking. You can present whatever trend you want if you pick a short time period.

CO2 molecule is part of the life cycle.
Plants need it for photosynthesis.
It is what we exhale.
The greenhouse effect keeps us alive.

Now the big solution to the global warming THEORY is giving more money to the rich through a tax on CO2 ??? give me a break

yay78900: You have poor education. Climate change happens. The fact that people is making business from it is not making global warming go away. Nobody claims that CO2 is a problem. Its the dose which is the problem. Dont you think that quantity plays a role in your life as well? Dont fall for the simple arguments of the business people who want to protect their profits by denying the contribution with transportation, mines, agriculture and factories to the growing greenhouse effects.

so you saying that the sun has little or no effect? where do you come up with this? oh thats right right al gore and his pseudoscience claim the sun has no influence and polar bears cant swim. and the whole crackpot movement claim co2 is the problem. the sun has the most influence on climate change. we contribute less than 1% of co2 emissions.
the polar caps have grown by over 20% in the winter months come on man stop listening to gore and the whole elite who care nothing about the environment

You're saying NOBODY claimes that CO2 is a problem? That's the main argument of people who believe in anthropogenic warming.
