Softly as in a morning sunrise played on bass guitar tuned EADGC. The backing track is from the Joey DeFrancesco Jamey Aebersold play-along book.

It's really hard to come up with enough ideas to fill four and a half minutes of playing time - I don't think I've ever taken longer than a three minute solo in an actual live situation. It's a nice exercise, though, and I think I got some good stuff in there in spite of some of the junk.

  • This song sounds dorky at this tempo. It takes all the spooky creeping along feeling and replaces it with cheese. There's no life left in the melody.

  • nice impro.... ibanez btb right?

  • hey awesome job ! had a question though...did you just tune the low B string to a low E on your five string and your low E to an A and so on and so on..? or did you just get a set of new strings and make the adjustments?

  • WOW- you sound excellent!! =] =] superb phrasing. I loveeee this tune!

  • Nice job! I love playing to this song!
