Video: FBI Probes Hate Package Left at Illinois Mosque

CENTRAL CITY, Ill. (KMOV) -- The FBI is now investigating a hate crime incident that stemmed from a suspicious package placed outside of the Islamic Center in Central City, Illinois on Tuesday night. The package turned out to be a box full of propaganda and burned Qurans, officials say.

The incident happened at 230 N. Broadway, and was at first believed to be a bomb threat, which was reported shortly after 7 p.m. Police blocked of at least one street and evacuated some residents in the area.

Police have no suspects in custody at the time.
