MSNBC host Rachel Maddow launched Culture Project's Blueprint for Accountability series on May 31, 2009 with a gripping evening directed by Fisher Stevens. Maddow was joined by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Suskind, Vince Warren of the Center for Constitutional Rights, and Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez.

  • Ah I never said that any form of torture was legal or justified under any circumstances. What I did say was exactly what I typed. There are laws that exist that are just as inhumane to humans as the laws that have been broken have been used to torture human beings. So just because it's a law doesn't mean it's fair or just to all human beings. When it comes to laws against drugs ad laws against same sex marriage and all kinds of laws that serve to only incarcerate and extract money from people.

  • If you believe waterboarding is/was legal and just, then you need to see a shrink immediately. Cheney & others will be in handcuffs, or shot by a Patriot.

  • Rachel is correct about those laws but, not all laws are fair or just laws. It really depends on the complexity of the situation and to what degree.
