  • DAMN if they keep this up TV will be looking better than real life! haha

  • @jase874 Any resolution higher than 580 dpi I think it was, is pointless as human eyes can't even see detail beyond that. Also, I think the same kind of thing that happened with mobiles, will happen with displays. If you remember, it was 'cool' to have a tiny mobile, the smaller the more impressive, but then it got to a point where they were so small it was just impractical, well now, there's a race to create ultra mega HD, but we will reach that point where improvement is redundant.. So yeah.

  • @francoismacre I'm not exactly sure what your saying I'm wrong about as I didn't mention this TV specifically, I was talking generally. But that's interesting what you shared, thanks. =)

  • @xadart

Sorry, but you're wrong;-) This TV has a diagonal of 70", so a width of 61" and a height of 34". Its 4K2K definition means 3840x2160 pixels... So, do the math yourself

3840 / 61 = 63 dpi. So we are very far from 580dpi which you talk to us. From my point of view, it would be useless to go beyond a resolution of 300 dpi, so a definition of 18300x10200 pixels for this type of 70" TV.

  • @GreenLiteProductions i never specified if i was talking about in height or width

  • @ZoldierrZzz Octo

  • @GoFastJames Exactly. What comes 1st the chicken or the egg? We have to start some where.

  • @ROCKETMAN595 4K refers to the larger dimension and is rounded up. (3840x2160p)

    It's 2160p not 4000p.

    1080p is considered 2k (1920x1080) rounded up to 2 k.

  • its called 4k because its 4000 pixels where as 1080p is called that because its 1080 pixels

  • imagine the porn

  • After seeing 4K and 8K in big sizes from 50-84" tv and few 4K projectors and a 8K projector all over I see giant jump in detail with 4K. With every one along with me looking at 8K all most every one I asked say even more detail. every one at ces as well as me asked for and about 4K. Talking to blu-ray they are going to put out 4K hdmi is ready for 4k 1.4 can do it.

All the people saying no point sound just ones back when 1080p was just coming out.

    There is talk about 16K & 22K
