This is great pop music. I think some people are being a little bit silly when they compare this to the Pumpkins or whatever. It's a power pop band and should only be evaluated as such,

I seriously think James Iha is fine financially which would debunk your money theory. As for the other stuff you said, I think this is a case where these guys were friends first and just wanted to make something fun for fun-sake. They aren't trying to blow anybody's mind. It seems like you're expecting some prog-rock opus that is compiled as a concept album or something. They don't have to "push their limits." Quit taking everything so seriously. Can't music just be fun and sound good?

These guys are just too old to be making Pop Rock, I think James Iha should leave this band or at least make another great solo album like James Iha "Let It Come Down Now."
